Integration with the help of formatted e-mails makes it possible to exchange data between systems located in fully closed contour lines.
How does it work?
- The format of incoming and outgoing emails for each system is determined
- In OTRS, an incoming mail handler/evaluator is configured
- In OTRS, an event notification module is configured — triggers for sending and text notifications
- Each system records the number and status of a ticket from an external system
SOAP REST API
The embedded capability of SOAP XML, REST JSON / XML API in OTRS allows you to use OTRS for both the requesting and receiving sides.
The system implements ready-made methods for working with tickets, knowledge base articles, configuration items
